Our Programs

We offer 3 different programs.
​
2 DAY PROGRAM for children 3 years of age
3 DAY PROGRAM for children 4 years of age (the year before they enter Kindergarten)
RSG ARTISANS PROGRAM for children ages 4 and 5 (3 day preschool children AND Kindergarten children can register)

We follow the Black Gold school calendar. All Black Gold PD days and holidays are followed,
and a yearly calendar with those details will be provided.
​Our 2 Day Program
Our 2 Day program is designed for children who will be 3 years of age before December 31st of that school year.
2 day students then have priority to register into the 3 day program for the following year.

Our 2 Day program provides students with the opportunity to become accustomed to school routines, peer socialization, and being part of a classroom community. Problem solving, learning to share and take turns, and finding successful ways to regulate emotions are all part of their learning in the 2 day program. They will have exposure to literacy and numeracy skills, and be given opportunities to engage in imaginative play and express creativity.

We offer a variety of special in-school presentations throughout the school year and we also enjoy taking the children on walks to nearby parks. We invite parents to attend out of school fieldtrips.

Children must be toilet trained before they can attend (pullups are not allowed). If this is not quite accomplished in September, please contact us to discuss options.
The 2 Day program runs:
Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 9:00 am -11:00 am OR
Tuesday and Thursday afternoons from 12:00 - 2:00 p.m.

The cost of our 2 day program is $60.00 per month.
This is AFTER the Affordability Grant is applied, which all families will receive.
There is an additional (non-refundable) $75.00 registration fee payable upon registration.
Subsidy is available.
​Our 3 Day Program
Our 3 Day program is designed for children who will be 4 years of age before December 31 of the school year, with the intentions of continuing on to Kindergarten the following year. Repeating the 3 Day program is acceptable should the parents decide to hold back their child for another year. Children can attend even if they have not attended the 2 Day class.
Our 3 day program provides students with opportunities to engage in imaginative play and express creativity. They learn to follow the routines of school and how to be a successful participant in a classroom community. We expose our students to the letters of the alphabet and explicitly teach the letters, developing their phonemic awareness, during storytime.
Our 3 day students learn about various children's authors in our "author studies" and they participate in many different music and movement opportunities. They will begin to develop literacy and numeracy skills as the school year progresses. We offer a variety of special field trips throughout the school year and we also enjoy taking the children on walks to nearby parks. We invite parents to attend any outings or field trips we might plan.

​RSG ARTISANS PROGRAM

We are happy to announce our new RSG ARTISANS PROGRAM, which is offered to children ages 4 and 5. Children must turn 4 or 5 before December 31st of the school year.
​
WHAT IS THE "RSG ARTISANS" PROGRAM?
This is a SPECIALIZED PROGRAM, focusing on process art AND music development for young children. Children will engage with exciting art provocations that are created by staff to ignite and expand the imaginations of children.
Part of this program also includes singing songs, finger plays and playing a variety of musical instruments. This program will help children to explore and develop their musical and artistic capabilities.

The RSG ARTISANS PROGRAM runs:

Mondays and Wednesdays from 12:30 - 2:30 p.m.

CAN I REGISTER MY CHILD IN BOTH THE 3 DAY PROGRAM AND RSG ARTISANS?
Yes! You will receive the Affordability Grant in the 3 Day program but not a second time in the RSG Artisans program. This would make the monthly fee for RSG Artisans $185.00 for those families registered into both the 3 Day and the Artisans. So, for both programs your monthly fee would be $285.00 total, and we would work with your child every day of the week!

If your child is ONLY registered in our RSG Artisans Program, then the cost is as follows:
